Newest driver in town

Well, Travis has passed the written test, and now has his beginner's drivers license. Let the games begin! He has been out a couple times in Todd's SUV (which has a standard transmission), and had a spin in his grandparents' car (automatic transmission). He likes theirs better, but if he wants driving time, he'll have to make do with the SUV. His ultimate goal is to drive my sporty 6-speed Matrix... *gulp* Luckily, he can't go anywhere by himself for the next year - legally, that is. Eric is studying the manual, and wants to write the test next week. Imagine, two 16 year olds learning to drive in the same house... What fun. Anyway, here's a shot of the happy Travis, keys in hand (with his Nan (Sharon) Inkpen):

The streets of St. John's will never be the same :o)

Driving a standard in St. John's must be nerve wracking (on the teacher) with all those hilss- no wonder he prefers his grandparents- hide the keys- nice picture-

Nice picture indeed. He looks quite happy. Yikes, I can't even imagine having two sixteen year olds in the house, period, let alone learning to drive. And I'm having a hard time thinking of Eric driving....he's just a baby!!! A big large baby, but a baby just the same. Where's the cute little boy with the bright yellow hair who used to call me 'Grandmudder'? Sigh. Oh well, new baby to watch grow up. Thanks for the e-mail Mikki...I appreciated it. Good to hear from you.
Lots of love, Mommy xxxxx ooooo xxxxx

Dad and Jimmy visited Frank and Shannon and have some pictures, but we have to wait until they get back before we get to see them.

Unless you call Shannon, and let her know all the fun she's missing out on, all this edification, maybe she'll join us ---or is she into computers? I don't know anything about her life- would be nice to reconnect.

Hey....edification..I like it. Almost as good as inadvertently! She knows how to e-mail..but she doesn't. I've e-mailed her pictures and stuff and never heard back! She's probably working too hard.
